To order replacement parts for your Hornby Scalextric cars, follow these steps:

First, check in the main store for general spares common to lots of cars, such as guide blades and braids, and motors, mostly bearing a C number, such as C8329, C8420, C8145, C8075, etc. If in stock, just add to cart and order as normal.

If you require something more specific, or the part is not in the main store, or you aren't sure what you are looking for, you need to consult the Service Sheets for your car. Find your car's service sheet on that page and look at the exploded parts diagram which will tell you the W part number you should be looking for. If you are lucky we may have it in stock already and you can order it as a normal store item from our Specific Car Parts section, where we keep some of the most popular parts.

If you don't know what car you have, try identifying it visually using the UK Slot Cars database which should enable you to get the car reference number.

Once you have the W part reference number for the part you need, you can take it forward to the form below. Some of these parts are no longer available and if they are on the "unavailable list" then unfortunately we won't be able to get them for you - you will need to see if you can find a second hand car (e.g. on Ebay) and cannibalise it for parts.

If you could not find your car on any of the Service Sheets (which only cover post-year-2000 cars) you have probably got something older which will perhaps require reproduction spares - for these, contact Scalextric Car Restorations. If you cannot find the W part you need on the service sheets, and the car is recent (post-2000) just fill out the C number and model on the form, and use the "other info" area to explain the problem (sometimes there are missing service sheets).

Please note we can't supply parts for other manufacturers at present. We can only process parts orders via this form, not by email or phone as it makes the whole process much quicker and simpler. Please don't phone or email and ask us to find you "a set of wheels for a Mini", "mirrors for an Aston Martin","tyres for a green car" or "wings for the cars in the Formula One set" - we won't process such orders. We would just end up going on a time-consuming "blind" wild goose chase through all the car identification web sites and service sheets without the benefit of having your car here to look at. So please be as specific as you can be, for the best chance of getting the right part - help us to help you locate the correct one from the many variations that may be available.

 

If you were unlucky and your part is not available, which may be suitable to use for spares.

This page is a separate back-ordering system from the main shop. Parts back-orders will be processed completely separately from orders for cars, track etc., so that regular parcels are not delayed going out to you while we wait for our small parts orders. If you are placing a main store order at the same time, you still need to leave card details here, as payment on the main site is processed in real time and we can't add your parts to orders that have already been completed on-line.


STOP! BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER: Please note that we do have some "W" parts kept in stock, so please check this page first as you may be able to order them directly in the main store and skip this back order process.


Otherwise, please fill out each row with the details of the part you need. We need all four elements (C no, model name as written under car, W no, and Part type) to be sure we are talking about the correct part. The W number on its own is no good because sometimes people get the digits transposed and a W9245 and a W9425 are completely different animals.

If you can fill out at least four rows, your order will go directly on to Hornby's parts department within one working day. If you only need up to three parts, your order will be batched up with other customer orders as they come in so you may have to wait a few days. If you want several of the same part, repeat them in separate rows. (Most customers order a couple of the same part to cover for future breakages and doing this will also help you get to row 4). If you need to order more than 10 parts you will need to place a second parts order.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The presence of a part number on a service sheet does not mean that part is still available. The older the car the more likely it is to be a deleted part, so do check the list of known-to-be-unavailable parts to save you some effort. Even then there is no guarantee that we will be able to get you any of the parts you fill in below as they could have all gone since that list was last updated. But if it's available we'll order it for you. Parts should then arrive within 10-14 days.

PRICE and PAYMENT:

The prices shown are the prices you will be charged if the part is available. When you press the "submit" button you will be taken to a location where you can leave your credit/debit card details on a secure server against a £1 fee per order to cover admin. The parts prices will not appear in this initial bill.

Your card is not charged in real time for the admin fee, cards are only charged when the parts are ready to be sent out (in case there are problems obtaining some parts). Card details are securely stored, and you will only be charged for the parts we can get plus the admin fee, and an email receipt for the total will be sent to you. If we can't get any of your parts you won't be charged anything and all card details are deleted from the system once the order is completed.

    NB If you order the wrong part by mistake please be aware that refunds for parts are pretty impossible to do, because we would have to make an allowance for the postage costs already incurred and also it's unlikely you will know you have got the wrong part till you have broken into the packet, which then makes it ineligible for resale. So please order with care.
