Scalextric Analogue transformer (C990)

   Ref: P9200

 £16.95 UK mains wall transformer for analogue Classic and Sport track. 230v 800mA.
C990 is now obsolete and replaced by new P9200 which is good for analogue 1/32 and also Micro Scalextric 1/64 scale, but not digital layouts and not "Start". You may still be able to locate C990s on Ebay:

Before replacing a power supply or powerbase, if experiencing problems with your analogue track power, check if the powerbase lights up when connected separate from the rest of the track. If it does then there may be a stray braid or screw causing a short circuit on the track.
