Scalextric Braid pack

 £4.50 Pack of 6 silver braids. For regular Scalextric cars, but you can use on Micro Scalextric (you might want to trim the length a bit for Micro, or see separate part W1573). To slide off a 1/32 scale guide plate, turn the car over and push down and forwards on the braid plate, then lift the plate around and off the blade. Then simply remove the worn braids, and wrap these new ones around plate in their place and replace the plate.

For Micro, lever off the fixing plate under the car, remove the old braids, and trail half of each new braid backwards under the car and the other half goes behind the plate, touching the motor contacts - then just click the plate back on again. You can also wind the braids on to any old style guide blade from the 70s onwards if the blade is still in good condition. Before ordering check if you still have some spare braids fixed to the underside of the display case or packaging your car came in.
