Scalextric Digital Slot-It Conversion Chip

  Ref: SISP12

£19.95 Slot-It have produced their own Hornby SSD compatible chip, specifically designed to fit in their own cars to cope with their greater power requirements. The latest cars have mounting points inside for this chip. The principle is however exactly the same as for regular SSD chipping. You can chip cars yourself for SSD, or if you select the chipping product option below, we can do it for you when you also add a new car to your order.

Scalextric Digital Slot-It Conversion Chip

Please note that when fitting Slot-it chips yourself, the chip lies flat to the underpan, with the components facing upwards and the integral LED pointing down through the hole usually already provided. Connection to the guide is via ferrules pressed into the braid holders, similar to the old Hornby Scalextric system. For best access remove the front axle, achieved by unscrewing one of the front wheels as shown in the photo. Soldering is only required to connect the legs of the capacitor to the motor end. Most Slot-it cars have a separate motor carrier, with loose bits of plastic covering alternative motor alignment options, screws with washers, etc. so keep a tray handy to prevent loss of important pieces.
£19.95 (€24.74)
UK postage and packaging are included in all prices
