Slot-It Slot-It classic Le Mans cars are compatible with Scalextric Digital. These are definitely "adults only" cars though - partly because of their high standard of detail and their "tunability" with a wide range of competition parts available, but also because many of these historic cars carry tobacco and alcohol sponsorship. Hence these are sold as adult enthusiasts' models of historic racing cars and are not really suitable for children (recommended age 14+).

The latest Slot-It models often turn up in the post from customers, for us to chip for Scalextric Digital - shown here is a batch of classic Le Mans Porsches and Jaguars recently fitted with SSD chips for a customer. They have a more powerful motor than regular Scalextric cars and are very fast, plus their size and shape also leads to some fun driving situations with tailslides and lots of bumping and barging, but they stand up to this very well. We have not had much interest from customers when we have stocked them here, but you are welcome to source the cars elsewhere and send them here for chipping. These are the cars of choice for more advanced digital / club racers - see some in action on a Slot-it Oxigen track (more about Oxigen here).

Note regarding Slot-It chips Slot-It SSD chips are not usually available in as large quantities as Hornby's own ones, and we often run out of stock. Please check the SISP12 chip item below to see if we have the SISP12 chips in stock before sending Slot-It cars for chipping.
