2008 new Scalextric releases
As ever the new Scalextric catalogue is eagerly anticipated and a summary of all the new items you will be able to order, appears below. Other car variants may appear during the year too. As more detail becomes available this page will be updated.
Please note that release dates can and often do vary from the original plan and occasionally some cars don't actually make it into production. Assume December 2008 if not otherwise stated.

Due to the expiring nature of credit cards, changing minds of customers, and inevitable delays in release dates, we will only take pre-orders on the new products a few weeks before they are definitely expected to arrive, when they will be added to the shop sections as pre-orderable products. We won't be reserving anything for customers until then, so subscribe to "Watch That Page" (in the margin) to be informed by email as soon as the relevant page is updated.

Whilst we won't be taking any orders until the new products are nearly here, we welcome your feedback on the production schedule and expressions of interest in the new products, either by email, or, why not discuss the new releases in the forum. It doesn't seem fair to make any promises, take any money or even payment details from customers until we have sight of the product ourselves!

C7041 Digital Pit Lane Game
A new trackside unit that will allow you to simulate pit stops during digital races. Select the number of pit stops per race (up to 3), with a random pit window opening. If you successfully pit when the pits are open you extinguish a pit stop light. If you pit when they're closed you get an extra pit stop's penalty. First player to extinguish all pit stop lights wins the game. Powered from the track, will take up to 6 cars and can be used in conjunction with the lap counter C7039. Due 4th quarter.

C7042 Advanced 6 car powerbase
This is the long-awaited upgrade to the original C7030 for racing up to 6 cars, again with multiple game modes, and an upgraded interface plus new options for skill level control, throttle calibration, instant push button car ID setting and 15V power upgraded from 12V. This unit can also operate in analogue or digital mode. Due 4th quarter.

With the arrival of some single seat digital plug cars, of course there will now also be the single seat digital plug to go with them, due 3rd quarter.

C1222 Digital James Bond 007
A double-extended figure of '8' layout with an Impact-Resistant Aston Martin DB5 and a further car to be advised. Due Dec.

C1223 Digital Triple Cup
An oblong circuit with lane changing straight and a pit lane with the new pit stop action game.
Complete with three Impact-Resistant Porsche 997 GTs. Due Sep.

At the moment we are not planning on stocking any sets this year.

New Analogue Sets
There are new Sports, Drift, F1 and Endurance analogue sets, plus a new James Bond starter set. Probably the most popular one will be C1218 TopGear Powerlaps (already available as a special version through Marks and Spencer in 2007).

At the moment we are not planning on stocking any sets this year.
