Braids and blades If you are confused about the braids and blades needed for your car, have a look at the Scalextric braids and blades guide. Blades and braids for most old Scalextric cars can still be obtained. If you are using Classic track in your circuit, note that this has a slightly shallower slot than modern Sport track. If you find some of your modern cars are bottoming out in the slot, you will need to file or trim a millimetre or so off the bottom of the guide blade.

W1564 - Guide blade with wires The Holy Grail of slot car parts. No longer available but kind-of replaced by other items depending on what exactly you need. If you just need the metal feet to go through the guide blade above, see CONTACTS above - we can often supply these with at least an inch or so of wire already attached. If you need just the wire, see C8428 on the performance parts page which also comes with spare contacts. And if you need a replacement blade, see C8329 or C8420 above.
